Thanks to all the Rochdale members who attended the Bury RA meeting on 18th January featuring a great Development session led by Premier League Referee Chris Kavanagh. Hope you enjoyed it and gained some useful information. See you on the 15th February.


January Meeting – Important Information

For our January meeting we have been invited by Bury Referees to join them on Thursday 18th January at St Mary’s Social club, Radcliffe  7.30pm as they have Premier League Referee Chris Kavanagh as the guest speaker.

Thanks go to Tom Parsons who agreed to cover our meeting at short notice and then stand down given our own planned speaker cancelled.

We all have the opportunity to listen to a Premier League referee at Bury and hope as many of our members as possible will join in on the night.

Please contact Chairman Andy White if you need a lift over to the meeting.


We will resume our own meetings at Rochdale Cricket Club on Thursday 15 February when we have Championship (Select Group2) Referee Andy Madley as the speaker.

First Meeting and Association News Update

Our First meeting of the 2017 – 2018 season is on Thursday 17th August at Rochdale Cricket Club starting at 7.30pm

We have our usual quick quiz, association news update and the main event is a discussion on the Law Amendments for the new season with Lewis Smith from the LFA.

We always welcome new members from the Rochdale and District area and we can provide advice for anyone who wishes to start refereeing.

2017 Monthly Meetings

December and future meetings

Our December meeting on Thursday 15th December is our annual members quiz and buffet supper. As usual we start at 19.30 at Rochdale Cricket club.

We have lined up a great programme of speakers for 2017.

On 19th January we have FIFA and Premier League Referee Anthony Taylor. Then on 16 February it is ex Premier League Assistant Trevor Massey and on 16 March we welcome back top assessor Eddie Lomas. April will be an in house training session and on to May for the AGM and presentation evening.
